Het grenslandschap tussen Damme, Sluis, Aardenburg en Maldegem wordt aaneen geregen door de Maerlant route. De streek is een aaneenschakeling van oude schorren die ingepolderd en drooggelegd werden met dijken en kanalen. Het Zwin was eeuwenlang de slagader van oude havenstadjes als Damme, Sluis, Aardenburg en Middelburg. De omwallingen, schansen en forten op je parcours zijn daar sporen van.

In dit historisch pand vind het Bezoekerscentrum een sfeervol onderdak. Je krijgt er info voorgeschoteld over Damme en de Zwinstreek. Met Uilenspiegelmuseum!

Historisch stadje met bezoekerscentrum, Uilenspiegelmuseum, de Stadswallen en kerk met panoramisch zicht. Ook culinair befaamd!
Vivenkapelle
Beschermd dorpszicht met kerk en het bronzen paard van Viven - ongetwijfeld de bekendste inwoner van Vivenkapelle!
Kobus
Zelf te bedienen overzetbootje voor fietsers en wandelaars. Het gras is altijd groener aan de overkant (van de Damse Vaart)!
Damse Vaart
De Damse Vaart, afgelijnd met bomen, verbindt Brugge met Damme en loopt verder naar Sluis. Fietsers en wandelaars genieten van de prachtige natuur.
