Description

The Great Southern Endurance Run is a 100k race between two major landmarks in the Atlanta, Georgia area - Kennesaw Mountain and Stone Mountain.  I decided to create a variation on this race by running the fastest route possible between the two mountains.  It's an all-urban route and you're off-road for only a short time on the descent from Kennesaw Mountain and the last mile on the climb to the top of Stone Mountain.  There are no major climbs other than the final trek up Stone Mountain, but it is rolling for most of the route.  You have to navigate many major intersections and traffic as you cross the city.  The idea with this route is to find the fastest route possible from Mountain to Mountain.  It's not necessary to duplicate my exact route.  There is an alternate route that is very close in mileage.  You may run either direction.
