This one is going to stay in your memory:
You can park at the Söllereck Nord parking ground.
First, ascend the Fellhorn. Especially at night, you can enjoy a spectacular view over Oberstdorf. Then you follow the ridge and stay at the east side. If you are there at the right time you can see an amazing sunrise. The first really good point to fill up your flasks/eat something ect. is at the Mindelheimer hut.
Next, you will surround the Widderstein, the amazing view will ease the running and you can look forward to the next hut (Widderstein hut). In Baad, you can take a moment to dip your feet in the river, reflect on your journey so far, and prepare for the next significant climb to the Oxenhofer Scharte. At the Schwarzwasserhütte you can fuel up again and start your last big climb to the Ifen. There you also have a breathtaking view and you can see what you have already done. From there
traverse the Hahnenköpfle and the Gottesacker where you really have to stay concentrated not to fall into a hole. But it’s an amazing landscape.
Descend to Straußberg, where the last, relatively flat section awaits. Here, you can make up lost time.
The last kilometers are challenging, both physically and mentally, as you run alongside the street. If you pushed through, congratulations. You did it. You just surrounded
the Kleinwalsertal!
All in all it is a really nice trail in a beautiful landscape. There are some more technical sections where you need to use your hands on the rocks, and several passages involve steel ropes. Additionally, as it is situated high up in the mountains, it is crucial to be mindful of weather and trail conditions.
