Description

The Circuit of Cornwall, also known as Kylgh Kernow, is a complete loop of Cornwall that can be accomplished by following the South West Coast Path and the Tamara Valley Coast to Coast route. You can start anywhere on the route, complete the entire Cornish section of the South West Coast Path from Marsland Mouth in the north to Plymouth in the south, and then link back to your starting point via the newly built Tamara Valley Coast to Coast route, which follows the Tamar river from its mouth in Plymouth to its source near the North Coast of Cornwall.

Although it's a challenging route, the experience of completing it is extremely rewarding.

Beginning Monday 29th September 2025, The North Face athlete Elsey Davis will be attempting to set a new FKT for the Circuit of Cornwall. I (Chris Taylor, TaylorMade Coaching & Events) have organised the attempt and will be there throughout the entire challenge.

Elsey will be setting off at 05:00 on the 29th and is aiming for around 5 days 15 hours completion time. If anyone would like to track, you can follow Elsey's progress here: https://live.adventuretracking.be/circuit-of-cornwall

Tracking is provided using satellite tech, so we should have signal at all times (the tracking is set to share location fixes every 2 minutes). Elsey will be recording GPS evidence of her attempt using two COROS watches.

Question rather than a comment. Firstly to say that I watched the film of this run, just fantastic x My question is, did you use the Kylgh Kernow alternative sections to complete the Kylgh Kernow route? Or did you do the Tamara Coast-to-Coast Devon and Cornwall route plus the Cornish Coast Path? I have been wanting to complete the Kylgh Kernow for a wee while now (at a happy jog not a blistering pace though!) so have been looking to find a complete Tamara Way, the Cornish version GPX file (I have only found the individual sections on OS maps with the "K" alternative paths for the Kylgh Kernow, so I was hoping to steal someone's GPX file!!
Amazing run for an amazing cause, Elsey.Â
