Description

The Leverick Bay to Hog Heaven route is very special for 2 reasons. 1 - It is the first FKT route in the British Virgin Islands. 2 - It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and a real joy to run. If you live in the area or are going on vacation here, it's a tough uphill run with rewards of beautiful views of the ocean and many of the islands. Along the route, you see the real British Virgin Islands off the tourist areas and run past homes, a primary school and local hangouts. Make sure to swim in the water after as a treat.

The start: At Leverick Bay Resort & Marina walk up the stairs past the Pusser's store. Your route starts where the stairs up.

The middle: Entrance to the Hog Heaven Restaurant and lookout. This beautiful lookout sits high atop the island of Virgin Gorda with a sweeping view of Bitter End, Moskito Island, Necker Island (Richard Branson's island), Eustatia, Prickly Pear, Saba Rock, Leverick Bay and more. On clear days, you can even make out a faint strip of Anegada in the distance.

The end: Run back down to your starting point at Leverick Bay Resort & Marina.
