Description

A different loop for the Livermore area that offers some really good runnable terrain for the majority of the way.

Starting in Waterville Valley at the Livermore Road parking lot you make your way up the nordic trail to Waterville Valley Ski Area or formally known as Mt Tecumseh via Piperline Trail to the Mt Tecumseh Trail which takes you to the summit and down to Tripoli Road.  The Tecumseh Trail from the bottom of the ski mountain increases in pitch as you make your way up and some pretty techy areas to be tackled.  The way down the Tecumseh Trail has a little bit more flow to it with some more loamy sections and less rocks.  From there you run north on Tripoli Road for a mile or so to then head up the East Pond Trail.

Head up and down the East Pond Trail till you intersect with the Kancamagus Highway.  The trail is moderate in incline and techyness.  From there, you take a right and head up the road all the way to the Hancock Notch Trail Head where the hairpin turn is in the road.

Take the Hancock Notch Trail which starts super easy for about a mile or so and increases difficulty as you make you way up to the Hancock Notch Trail.  At the Cedar Brook Trail take your right and continue on the Notch Trail.  This trail offers some pretty desolate times, easy loam sections and once you crest about half way the trail starts to turn into a little bit more of a river bed trail.  Keep your eyes up and footwork good.

At the end of the Hancock Notch Trail you then take a right to hop on a nice little flat break trail called The Sawyer Pond Trail.  It is a two track the majority of the way until you hit the Kancumagus again.  Run up the road a little again for about 5-10 minutes and then you'll hop left on the Livermore Trail which is the trail that will initially take you back to where you started.  The Livermore Trail for the most part has some pretty easy sections until you start making it closer to the Tri-Pyramids.  Once you get to the top of the Trail its pretty much a down hill run all the way back to car in the Livermore Parking Lot.

Super fun loop!!!
