Route: Malibu Creek State Park Loop (CA)

The Malibu Creek State Park loop is a loop on pretty popular trails in the Santa Monica Mountains. The easiest access is from the Malibu Creek State Park parking at 1925 Las Virgenes Rd, Calabasas, CA 91302. It is 14 miles long with an elevation gain of about 2,654ft.

The loop can be done clockwise or counterclockwise with no recommended preference. It is basically using Crags Road, the Bulldog Motorway, Castro Motorway, Mesa Peak trail and Tapia Park. You will pass through famous movie sites like the one one from MASH, as well as the place where the village in Planet of the Apes used to be.
