Description

Mt Hinman is a popular running/scrambling in the Alpine Lakes Wildneress. With a long approach but no technical challenges beyond some snow and some scrambling, it's a great route for a runner looking to do some mountaineering.

From the Middle Fork Snoqualmie - starting at Dingford Creek TH, where NFS Rd 1030 is gated, bike about 9 miles out NFS Rd 1030 to Dutch Miller Gap trailhead. Ditch bikes and head up Dutch Miller Gap Trail to Williams Lake Trail, follow up to Williams Lake then overland thru Chain Lakes to La Bohn Gap. Scramble east up ridge and around to Hinman's summit, the farthest one east.
