Description

This route combines two classic Pacific Northwest loops into one long adventure, featuring a little bit of everything the Mount Rainier area has to offer. The best place to start is Mowich Lake, which allows you to park next to the Wonderland Trail. You can also take advantage of a nice leg soak in the lake afterwards. From Mowich, you can start out North in the direction of the Carbon River, or South towards Spray Park, both on the Wonderland. Water sources are abundant, especially in the Spray Park section. The route can be done in a CW or CCW direction, however, make sure to hit the overlapping middle section of the two loops twice for full "figure 8" credit.
