Description
The Mount Rundle Traverse is a 25km traverse over 11 summits of Rundle Ridge near Canmore, Alberta. It goes at a maximum technical grade of about 5.5 (YDS) on notoriously rotten rock.
Previous FKT holder Dow Williams wrote this about the Mount Rundle Traverse on summitpost.com: "an unpublished and often gossiped about objective, but who has really done it? I have never actually met anyone who really did but ran into plenty of folks who thought they knew someone who did." He added: "How long is it? How many peaks must you surmount? If you really need to ask those questions, perhaps you should give it a pass." Williams reported completing the Traverse in "13 hours +/-" from the Goat Creek parking lot to the Banff Springs Hotel.
