Description

The Okanagan Mountain Loop is one of the most rugged and remote long-distance routes in the central Okanagan. This circuit links the major interior trails of Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park, forming a demanding loop that showcases the park's ridges, canyons, historic trails, and alpine lake.

The route begins and ends at the Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park Trailhead Parking. From the trailhead, runners follow Boulder Trail until reaching the junction at CN Trail. From the junction, runners can complete the route in either direction.

This is a true wilderness loop: long, remote, committing, and sun exposed with limited water sources, especially in summer months. The terrain varies from smooth double and singletrack to technical rocky sections. Navigation is generally straightforward.

The FKT is for the complete loop, starting and finishing at the parking lot.
