Description

The Pine Creek Rail Trail is a railroad that was converted to a cinder trail.  It starts near Wellsboro, PA and finished in Jersey Shore, PA.  Generally, it follows Pine Creek, a beautiful stream that flows down the "Pennsylvania Grand Canyon."  It is in a very remote part of PA with no cell service, except for 1/2 mile about mid-way through.  The trail is marked very well the entire length.  It starts at a yellow gate on Mile 0 and ends in a parking lot in Jersey Shore at Mile Post 63 (although it is not quite 63 miles long).  My time starts at the gate at Mile 0 and stopped at mile post 63.  Being a converted rail-to-trail, it is very flat and the trail is in amazing condition.  I did not see a single pothole in 62 miles.  You will get to see lots of wildlife.  I saw a bear, raccoon, and eagles (among other critters) on my run.
