The Redbird Crest Trail in the Daniel Boone National Forest is a 70 mile looped shared use trail. It is used primarily for dirt bike, ATV, and other smaller OHV recreational riding. The trails are mostly wider trails with an 11 mile section of single track designated for dirt bikes, bicycles, horses, and foot traffic only. The trails are rugged and technical with much of the trail being up on the ridgelines.
This particular route can be completed in the clockwise or counter-clockwise direction beginning and ending at the Peabody Trailhead (one of three developed trailheads along the trail).
69.7 miles; 9,064' vertical gain

I be attempting this route completely unsupported on June 2nd. It's a Friday and I have no Job so...
The biggest challenge will be where's the water😂. Picking the worst time of year to do this and without a plan. Wish me luck and 🤞 that I don't have any issues with dogs.Â
Heading out tomorrow, the plan is to get a time on the board. Would love to highlight what we have in this area. Hope someone will follow after and make it competitive. From some scouting there are a few downed trees and a small sector that needs to be recut. Hope there are no other big surprises on the southern side.Â
