Description

The Sedona Triple Crown is the ultimate spire linkup of Arizona. The linkup includes Oak Creek Spire via North Face 5.9+, The Mace via Original Route 5.9+, and Summit Block Rock via Doctor Rubo's Wild Ride 5.9. Climbing all three spires in a single push is a Classic Sedona adventure composed of splitter sandstone cracks, wild jumps, small summit blocks and sweeping views. What more could you ask for?

Most people attempt this linkup by driving to and from each spire, however my friend Harrison Keane and I decided to attempt it completely by foot. We started with OCS, then The Mace, and finished on Dr. Rubo's. The total mileage was around 20 miles and 4k vertical gain. I believe this effort to be a classic for any mountain athlete with the skills to combine hard technical climbing with endurance running/hiking.

Please note: this is NOT a trail run. This route involves difficult technical climbing, research the routes before you go.

That being said, get after it!!! This linkup is perfect for a climber interested in an endurance project, or a runner interested in a climbing project. Go at your own pace and have fun!
