The Skier's Sierra High Route is a winter route of approximately 35 miles and 11,000ft gross elevation gain, starting at the Wolverton trailhead in Sequoia National Park, and ending at the Symmes Creek/Shepherd's Pass trailhead near Independence, CA. A rough map of the route can be found here; a more detailed map based on ground-truth GPS data would be appreciated.

First skied in its entirety by David Beck in 1975, the route was popularized by Beck and by Bela Vadasz, who guided clients over the route for many years.  The SHR is typically completed as a 5-7 day trip, with several guiding companies offering guided group trips.
