Description

Begin at the South Kabeyun Trail Head. Take the Sawyers Bay Trail complete the Head Trail to the lookout, come back down and take the Talus Lake trail to Nanabosho lookout, continue on Talus Lake along fun technical single track and take the Top of the Giant out and back. From there a short ways to meet up with the Kabeyun back to the parking lot.

This route visits all the viewpoints of The Sleeping Giant: The Head, The Chest (also known as Nanabosho), and The Top of the Giant. Kabeyun, Talus Lake Trail, and Sawyer Bay Trail all have relatively minor changes in elevation, but reaching each of the viewpoints is more strenuous, with The Head having the most intense elevation increase. The route can be done in either direction but doing it counter-clockwise is recommended if you would like to front-load the difficulty.

Would not recommend on relying on getting water at Talus Lake. Full up at Sawyers Bay & Tea Harbour.
