Description

Originally blazed in 1969 by a group of hikers looking to inspire people to embrace the outdoors.  Friends of Smedley Park have recently done a great job of revamping the trail with new trailheads and improving the trails marking throughout.  It is a great place for wildlife sighting and escaping the urban development.

Went on a reconnoiter run yesterday (https://www.strava.com/activities/9066388991/overview) in a tad over 34 minutes. This has got to be one of the best-marked trails I've ever run on--every time I looked up, there were 5 markings in sight. Couldn't ask for a better trail! Looking forward to attempting this again later in the summer. I could probably have saved 30 seconds if didn't miss Stidman Drive. That, plus a bit more fitness, and I'm hoping to get close to that great FKT set by Brian.
