Description

The Tilted Compass Challenge is a big day in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This is a "hike-drive-hike" challenge created by Joshua Brooks that is similar to a single day VT 4000 route. You hike a peak, travel to another, and repeat. This challenge is made up of the New Hampshire 4000 footers which are the Northernmost (Mt. Cabot), Easternmost (Mt. Moriah), Westernmost (Mt. Moosilaukee), and Southernmost (Mt. Whiteface). The goal is to complete them as quickly as possible in order within a single calendar day and drive time is included. The peaks can be completed in any order and the clock starts at the first trailhead and ends at your return to the final trailhead. A benefit is getting to refuel and replenish in transit, the big down side is willing yourself to get out of the car. There is a massive amount of vertical for miles hiked. Good luck!
