Description

A challenging route around Todmorden created to commemorate the centenary of the granting of Borough status, taking in moors, valleys, woods, reservoirs, villages and poignant ruins.

Starting and finishing from Todmorden Town Hall, using Link Path 1 as outlined in the route guide from the Todmorden Information Centre. Joining the Way at the Wizard of Whirlaw, a popular stone head, it is customary to pay tribute to the wizard through impersonation. Although not compulsory, efforts without photographic evidence of said tribute will be frowned upon.

Challengers can take either a clockwise or counterclockwise loop. There are pros and cons to both, so research and prior knowledge of the route are recommended. If you're not local, reach out to the local running club, the Todmorden Harriers, who will be happy to offer guidance and support.
