Route: Transcaucasian Trail

This route is the official 2024 trail for the Armenian portion of the Transcaucasian Trail. The trail offers stunning views across diverse landscapes from the border with Iran to the border with Georgia, the route travels through six Armenian provinces, and a range of terrain from deserts to snowfields to grassy hills. The Transcaucasian Trail, released to hikers in 2021, still has some portions of the route that are off-trail and require independent route-finding. The 2024 route differs from the 2023 route as it excludes one small section to the city of Jermuk, due to security concerns.
