Description

The route connects two dear Slovenian monuments spanning from the capital Ljubljana to the highest peak Triglav (featuring in Slovenian flag). Starting at Prešernov trg with the great poet’s statue and the much loved (and UNESCO listed) Tripple bridge to the Aljaž tower at the 2864 high Triglav mountain. For a large part the route follows river Sava and offers beautiful views to Kamnik-Savinja alps, Karavanke mountain range, then passing Bled and ending up in the heart of Julian Alps. Moreover, the route requires a combination of road and trail running with some iron-protected hiking near the top.
