The "Welterbesteig" is a new long-distance hiking trail project in the wonderful UNESCO world heritage site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Over 120km and 4500m altitude you cross the entire valley from Koblenz to Bingen.

Tips on how to get there: The destination of the World Heritage Trail is almost directly at Bingen main station. From here you can take the train to the main station in Koblenz in 40 minutes (without changing trains). From the main station in Koblenz it is almost 3 km to the starting point. You have to walk around town or take a taxi for 12 euros.

The World Heritage Trail offers a very varied route. There are many trails trough beautiful nature, steep climbs and rapid downhills. On the way you will pass many beautiful towns with historic buildings, old castles and numerous catering options.
