Route: Willow Lake 3 Passes Loop (CO)

A beautiful loop starting at the East Snowmass TH in Snowmass, Colorado climbing three mountain passes, East Snowmass Pass 12,674ft, Willow Pass 12,533ft and Buckskin Pass 12,477ft. After Buckskin, the route descends steeply to Snowmass Lake and returns to East Snowmass TH via a 10 mile gradual descent on West Snowmass TH. A perfect mountain runners loop, complete with alpine lakes, views of Pyramid Peak and the Maroon Bells, technical descending with an alpine running experience and beautiful aspen groves. This is the little brother to the Maroon Bells 4 Pass Loop as it shares some of the same trails.
