Description

Classic central Texas hillcountry trail in one of its best state parks, Pedernales Falls State Park. The route is hilly and pretty exposed. Limestone and juniper trees abound. Starts low in the forest and climbs up and around Wolf Mountain with great views of the surrounding area including the Pedernales River. The trailhead is not far from the spring-fed Pedernales river, so you can reward yourself with a dip afterwards. Overall, this is a solid trail for central Texas runners that is easy to navigate. Best in cooler months or early morning. More info on the trail is here:  https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/texas/wolf-mountain-trail
