Description

Worcester, like Rome, was built on seven hills. Actually Worcester has many more than seven hills. And there is also debate about which hills make up Worcester’s seven hills. But it seems the majority favor the following as the seven hills of Worcester.

  • Hancock Hill (780 feet)

  • Green Hill (777 feet)

  • Chandler Hill (721 feet)

  • Bancroft Hill (720 feet)

  • Mt. St. James or College (Pakachoag) Hill (693 feet)

  • Newton Hill (672 feet)

  • Union (Sagatabscot) Hill (625 feet)

I wanted to put this out as a Round to inspire others to connect the seven hills and to see which routes others take to collect all seven in the most efficient route.

I would like the Round to start and finish at the same place. I chose to start/finish at Green. You may chose whichever you think the most efficient place to start/finish would be.

The order I chose was Green, Hancock, Bancroft, Newton, College, Union, Chandler, Green. You may chose any order as long as you start and finish in the same place.

Good luck and Welcome to Worcester!
