The Zurich to Zug route connects two major cities in Switzerland and traverses the Albis Mountain Chain, climbing important local peaks such as the Uetliberg and Albishorn. The route covers a total distance of 34km with just over 1,000m of height gain. The FKT route follows Swiss regional hiking route 47 from the Triemli Tram Stop in Zurich to the Hirschgarten park overlooking the lake in Zug. Note that on the ground it is not clear where regional hiking route 47 terminates in Zug, so we suggest a logical and aesthetic end for the FKT route next to the pier for the passenger ferry in Zug Hischgarten (the ferry stop is signposted as Zug Banhofsteg), please see map.
