Description

The Starnberger See, south of Munich, can be run around in roughly 50 Km. The path is mainly a bike and/or walking path, as close to the lake shore as possible, but always staying on publicly accessible and always open ways (e.g. not via the Buchheim Museum grounds, which can be closed at certain times). The route takes one from Starnberg down to Seeshaupt passing Leoni, Ammerland, and Ambach and then back to Starnberg along the other shore side passing Bernried, Tutzing, and Possenhofen to end up back at the ferry and train station of Starnberg.
