The trail is an out and back which starts at the parking lot off of Highway 12 in Atherley, just outside of Orillia. The trail follows the abandoned CN rail line through pastoral countryside. The official start and finish is at the silver gates in the parking lot. The turnaround is at the road just before the Casino Rama parking lot. You will see a Trans Canada Trail turn sign here. You also have the option of starting at the casino and turning around at the silver gates in the parking lot. The trail is pretty straight forward. Flat and fast rail trail. There are 3 road crossings.

Langtang valley trek is the third most popular trek in Nepal. A beautiful and somewhat more accessible trail due to lower altitude. 

The trail starts in SyabruBensi (1500m) and goes along a narrow valley, through forest(jungle) and then up in the alpine yak meadows reaching the village of Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) where a beautiful Monastery sits. 

The first part (cca 15km) si through jungle with a lot of rocky steep up and downs near the precipice of the river. Once up above 3000m, the trails are more flowy and the views absolutely enchanting.

The route starts on the south side of town at the intersection of Fairground Rd. and Main St. and runs to Woodstock Tower Rd and over the Massanutten mountain and until the end of Woodstock Tower Road in Ft. Valley, make a quick turn right to the Ft. Valley Country store and turn around and run back.
