Description

Starting at the Albert Basin in Newry, heading along the carriageway to warrenpoint, rostrevor and on towards Greencastle. Here you will get a small break and board a ferry to Greenore in Co. Louth where you will complete the second part of the route.

from Greenore you will travel towards the medieval town of Carlingford and on towards Omeath via the full Carlingford Greenway, a small stretch of road before joining onto the Newry greenway taking you from Victoria Lock to the start/finish at the Albert Basin.

With breathtaking views of Carlingford Lough to your right, Mourne Mountain and Cooley mountain ranges to your left, this is an epic 55km route to experience
