Description

Cove to Cove begins in Porteau Cove Provincial Park and ends in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. The route starts on the beach in Porteau Cove and follows the Sea to Sky highway for roughly 2km to the Howe Sound Crest Trail. Route then follows the Howe Sound Crest Trail to Cypress Bowl and connects to the Baden Powell trail. Follow the Baden Powell to Deep Cove where the route ends on the beach in Panorama Park. Bonus points for dipping in the water on each end.

This is the logical line connecting the very popular Howe Sound Crest Trail and Baden Powell Trail.

Roughly - 68.5km, 4100m elevation gain

Three of us will be taking a stab at this route this Sunday! We'll see how the day goes, but we'll be aiming to come in under Chris and Adam's time. Technically we'll be doing it self-supported by caching some food in a car at the Cleveland Dam, but I'm not sure if this route warrants a separate record for not having a crew. Either way, very excited!

rnoble, excited that you gave it a go! How did your day turn out? Given the closure of Quarry Rock, how did you sort out the final section?

I’ve been looking at this one for a year now, it seems like a classic! I would like to give it a shot on 2024-07-13 if it’s not pouring rain. There is still a little bit of snow on the HSCT, exciting! I’m planning on being supported.

Completed the course as intented this past Saturday, with a time of 10:25:00. Tough day due to the amount of snow on the HSCT and the heat of the city (35°C). Will be back one day!
