Route: El Cotillo to Corralejo, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands (Spain)

This is a point to point route over compact sand, dirt, stone. The route starts at the "respect the environment" sign (in photo) at the Toston Lighthouse (in photo) outside of El Cotillo.  You will run the lighthouse road briefly before turning left onto the coastal road.  On this coastal road you will enjoy vistas of countless beaches, many of them full of surfers, as well as sand dunes, the island of Lanzarote, and the island of Isla de Lobos.  The path hugs the coast the entire way and every moment there is a beautiful view to take in.  The route ends at the "La Oliva Fuerteventure" map (in photo) detailed on a large rock face along the boardwalk as soon as you reach town.
