Flitch Way:  Essex, just outside Bishop's Stortford to Braintree.

Constructed in the 1860s the Bishop's Stortford, Dunmow and Braintree branch served both passenger and freight rail until c1970 when the line was no longer sustainable to maintain. Nowadays, The Flitch Way runs along the route of the old tracks from Start Hill (Just the other side of the M11 to Bishop's Stortford) through to Braintree Station. A mixture of trail and tarmac, the route is 15 miles long and is mainly flat with a few undulating sections.
The route heads East starting at Start Hill and finishing at Braintree Station.

Where the route passes through Dunmow the route joins the B1256, cuts through the Flitch Industrial Estate then follows Chelmsford Road before rejoining The Flitch Way just east of the Travelodge.
The route heads East starting at Start Hill and finishing at Braintree Station.
