Route: Mount Lowe Loop (CA)

This route is using the very popular trails around Echo Mountain and Inspiration Point, and goes one peak up to Mount Lowe.

Park at the top of North Lake Avenue in Altadena and start at the gate of Cobb Estate, 3302 Lake Ave, Altadena, CA 91001.

Go up the Lower Sam Merrill trail, make a left on Middle Sam Merrill trail, make a left on Mount Lowe Motorway, go up on the right to Mount Lowe West Trail, arrive at the top on Mount Lowe. Then go down Mount Lowe Trail, make a left on the Fire Road, arrive at Inspiration Point. Go down Castle Canyon Trail and you'll get to the same Lower Sam Merrill Trail close to Echo Mountain you'll take to get back to the start.

It is recommended to run on a week day to avoid the crowds. Also it is best to avoid any snow for an FKT.
