Description

The Oregon Triple Crown is a unique and diverse challenge featuring 3 of Oregon's premier long-distance routes: The Oregon Coast Trail, The Oregon Pacific Crest Trail, and The Oregon Desert Trail.

Guidelines:

This challenge can be completed over the course of years or ultimately over a single season. Each of these trails can be completed in any direction, or in any style. Due to the nature of this challenge, unsupported efforts reset at the start of each trail. Supported or self-supported efforts trump single unsupported efforts so a combination can be made between trails so long as the overall style submitted reflects the support level at its highest.

Furthermore, the Oregon Timber Trail, a designated mountain bike route, was a strong consideration for this challenge rather than the more popular PCT. However, due to the amount of road walking required to complete the OTT, and a historically high rate of fire closures and detours, this route was omitted from this challenge. That said, adding this trail to the other 3 would make for a perfect Quadruple Crown (side tab) should anyone take this challenge one step further and complete all 4 trails.
