The Ribble Way is a 73 mile footpath following the River Ribble along the beautiful Ribble Valley from its mouth to its source. The footpath traverses the counties of Lancashire and North Yorkshire and is divided into 7 sections each approximately 10 miles long.
The Ribble Way starts at Longton to the west of Preston and follows a gentle course through Ribchester and Clitheroe before reaching Gisburn. The Ribble way then crosses from Lancashire into North Yorkshire and continues to its source at Gavel Gap near Horton in Ribblesdale.
Myself and my brother will be doing this route on the 16th April, starting at approximately 5am. Ribblehead Viaduct to the Dolphin pub. Thanks.
