The Rio Grande Trail is a 42 mile, mostly paved trail that runs the length of the Roaring Fork Valley in western Colorado. The trail stretches from Herron Park in Aspen to Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs. There are seasonal closures for critical wildlife habitats that necessitate a detour from 5PM, November 30 to 5PM on April 30. This is a historic rail line that has been turned to a popular foot and bike path. The trail is part of the National Rails to Trails Network.
