Description

Sulphur Mountain Trail is a very popular, year round, non-technical double-track trail in Banff, Alberta. The trail is a series of switchbacks that work their way up to Sanson Peak and the Sulphur Mountain summit. A gondola also provides access to the top (between the two peaks) where a mountaintop restaurant is located along with a boardwalk that is used to access a viewpoint of the surrounding area and town below. With Banff being a popular tour destination in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, this route is very competitive with fast times not just from locals but also with tourists from other parts of Canada, the USA, and abroad.
