This route is a FULL TRAVERSE of the entire tres cruces massif, meaning you must traverse OVER each summit, starting from either the north side of the north peak or the south side of the south peak. The exact track will be varied as there is no true trail up the S Side of the S summit, not is there any trail between the central peak and the north peak. For logistical reasons, this can be connected as a loop by skirting along the bottom of the massif back to your vehicle, or you could exit out one side and have someone pick you up.
This is a full-on route, with a lot of time quite high up on rugged terrain without any infrastructure or cell service and few other climbers around if something goes wrong. There is no potable water above the start of the route (other than snow) and the route is very committing once you're on the central peak.
