Route: Rheingauer Klostersteig (Germany)

Perfectly signposted, the monastery trail on the right bank of the Rhine leads over 30 kilometers from Eberbach Abbey to various rest points as well as the monasteries Johannisberg, Marienthal, Nothgottes and St. Hildegard Abbey to the Marien Church in Rüdesheim-Aulhausen - away from the traffic flows through the picturesque landscape of the Rheingau, past meadows and fields, through forest and valley to impressive monasteries and viewpoints.

This route is near but separate from the Rheinsteig. There are a few paths on the Klostersteig along the Rheinsteig route, but it is definitely worth running along the Klostersteig, because its route leads the runner along small, beautiful paths away from the Rheinsteig. With its length of almost 30 kilometers, it is also a great challenge for the trail running community in the region.

Perfekt ausgeschildert führt der Klostersteig rechtsrheinisch über 30 Kilometer vom Kloster Eberbach über verschiedene Ruhepunkte sowie die Klöster Johannisberg, Marienthal, Nothgottes und die Abtei St. Hildegard zur Marien Kirche nach Rüdesheim-Aulhausen - abseits der Verkehrsströme durch die malerische Landschaft des Rheingaus, vorbei an Wiesen und Feldern, durch Wald und Tal zu beeindruckenden Klöstern und Aussichtspunkten.
