Description

This Bronx Perimeter route was scouted over the course of a couple months in the summer of 2022. This run is a part of my year long project to run all of the NYC Borough perimeters. I designed it to also allow for bike support across 100% of the route.

This route begins and ends at Yankee Stadium with one loop of the Joseph Yancey Track. The aim was to experience all of the diverse neighborhoods and environments that the Bronx has to offer. Everything from the Mott Haven section to Riverdale - I also made sure to do an out and back at City Island and touch the sand at Orchard Beach. Also with a tip of the hat to the xc runs that happen every day in Van Cortlandt Park, I passed Michael Browne's famous Tortise and Hare statue.

In a fitting end to the run, right as we were approaching the end point, the Yankee Stadium crowd was leaving an afternoon game.

If you want to see everything the Bronx has to offer, I highly encourage this route.
