Description

The Clyde Walkway is a 40-mile scenic route along the River Clyde. It can be completed from the River Side Museum in Glasgow (NW) to The Falls of Clyde in Lanark (SE) or vice versa. From Partick to Camubslang the path is paved and from Cambuslang to the Falls of Clyde you follow mostly dirt track with a few short paved sections.

The Clyde Stride Ultramarathon follows the Clyde Walkway from Partick to New Lanark: https://acorntrails.run/homepage/events/clyde-stride-ultra-marathon/ 

It was held annually from 2010-2018 and again in 2022. 2023 and 2024 have been cancelled due to difficulties obtaining the necessary permits.
