Route: Mount Pilchuck Sea-to-Summit (WA)

Mount Pilchuck is an iconic peak in our area, it is visible from all over the county and it is a very popular hike the lookout at the peak. I planned a route that started in the County Seat of Everett, WA, from the public boat launch at the Port of Everett. The run took me through a couple communities before I used a network of trails, logging roads and Forest Service roads to get to the Mount Pilchuck trailhead. Then I summited the mountain and ran back to the trailhead's parking lot

The FKT is from the boat launch to the top.

This route is fun because it essentially takes you from sea level to the top of the mountain that everyone knows. It is an accomplishment recognized even by non-runners. :)
