Description

Sleeping Giant State Park, just north of New Haven, has a dense network of trails.

Anna Gartsen describes the White Trail:  "The white trail is arguably the most challenging trail in the Sleeping Giant State Park trail system, with fantastic micro-elevation changes, rock climbs and scrambles, cliffs and views across the Long Island Sound. It extends from the main parking lot at Sleeping Giant to the Chestnut Road trailhead. With such a great variety, it feels like a very different trail going e-w vs. going w-e, and that is why an OAB trip is highly encouraged!"
