Description

The Waterton Triple Crown is completion of the 3 best and most stunning trails in Waterton Lakes National Park:  Akamina Ridge Trail, Carthew-Alderson Trail, and the Crypt Lake Trail.  The local challenge known as the Waterton Triple Crown has been in place since at least 2011 and encourages hikers to complete the 3 hikes within 1 hiking season:

For the FKT you must also travel between the trailheads under your own power, specifically by running ~ 3km between the Akamina Ridge TH and the Carthew-Alderson TH, and by kayaking ~ 2.5 km across Cameron Lake to the Crypt Lake TH (for a truly unsupported FKT you will need to swim!)  The clock starts at the first TH and stops when you get back to the final TH.
