Description

Beautiful route through the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California. Close to 50 miles of beautiful mountain scenery that includes technical single track, grueling fire roads, and plenty of steep climbs. Starts at the San Juan Loop Trailhead off Ortega Highway and finishes by going under the 91 freeway in Corona, California (or reverse).

Admin note: We won't accept unlimited variations on this route, pick one of the two. Whichever one is more popular will become evident in time.

Description

Baptist Draw -  is often touted as one of the best beginner friendly canyons in the San Rafael Swell. A short approach, coupled with great narrows, easy downclimbs, and straight forward rappels make this a winner. It doesn't hurt that it has some of the deepest, darkest narrows in the Swell.
