Raccoon Creek State Park Loop (PA)

Description

Route begins and ends at the Raccoon State Park office just before the bridge that leaves the office parking lot.  From the parking lot you head north on route 18 and cross over 18 to access Forest trail.  Forest trail eventually comes to the boat launch and dam.  The route continues by road for approximately a mile until you come to the Heritage trail parking lot.  Continue on Heritage trail until you cross over route 18 again at Mineral Springs.  From there you will continue on Heritage trail until it meets up with Appaloosa trail.  The Appaloosa trail has been detoured to Pioneer camp ro

Distance: 28 km (17.4 miles)

Vertical gain: 1600 meter 

Start: Turnerbrunnen; Heidelberg-Handschuhsheim, Mühltalstrasse (car park)

The trail allows you to get to know many highlights (peaks, paths, etc.) in Heidelberg. The first 3 kilometers are a slight climb to warm up. Then you will experience the following sights (in the following order):

Description

This route follows the Conondale Range Great Walk of The Conondale Ranges in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in southeast Queensland. It is officially a 56km loop usually completed in 4 days hiking comprising mostly of soft rainforest single track and long climbs and descents. The highlight is definitely the views of spectacular Booloumba Falls and Summer Falls and the range of plants and wildlife. Anyone looking to do this route should be aware the area is known for having a large number of snakes and leeches in wet weather. This route follows the Department of Environment and Science offici
