The IPA Funrun is a semi-organized run that friends of ours have put up for the past couple of years (the longest distance is 50k). My buddy Francis and I have decided to do it back and forth last year, so the day prior to the event, we ran it reverse course and early the next morning we ran it with the participants. We intend to to this again this year and bring others friends along. We also want to register it as an FKT :) Its a super technical and spectacular course. In a region that is a bit off from regular circuits.

The 23.4-mile Eastern Shore Trail runs along the east side of Mobile Bay from Spanish Fort to Weeks Bay, passing through the communities of Daphne, Montrose, Fairhope, Battles Wharf and Point Clear along the way. The trail is mostly concrete or asphalt, but because of the wide variation in grade, you will encounter elevated boardwalks and high-rise bridges, both wood and metal. You can stop to swim, fish, picnic or enjoy nature trails at several points along the trail’s route.
