The 33.5 mile route is a point-to-point trail.  The route starts on the the east side of the Olympic National park from the trailhead of Dosewallips River Trail. The first few miles are an old service road.  The route continues on a single track trail along the Dosewallips River, take the West Fork Dosewallips River Trail at the junctions, cross the Dosewallips River at about the 7.8 miles from the trail head.   Continue on the West Fork Dosewallips River trail to Anderson Pass junction.  Hikers may do the out & back to Anderson Pass for the view, but it is not part of the FKT route. Take the East Fork Quinault River Trail to the Enchanted Valley. Continue on the East Fork Quinault River Trail along the Quinault River to Graves Creek trailhead. Or do this in the reverse direction.
