Description

The Letchworth Branch is a roughly 25 mile branch trail that is part of the Finger Lakes Trail System. It runs from the town of Mount Morris on the North end, to Portageville on the southern end, where it meets the main branch of the Finger Lakes Trail. Most of the trail is within Letchworth State Park. It is largely singletrack, with some sections of unpaved road, doubletrack path, and a bit of paved road at the Portageville end. The trail is well established and has been in use for many years, and parts of it have been used in various local trail races.
An interactive map of the official route is available here: https://fingerlakestrail.org/plan-hikes-finger-lakes-trail/interactive-trail-map-segmented/map-western-flx-region/ and is shown on the L1 and L2 maps published by the Finger Lakes Trail Conference.
