Route: Ojos del Salado (Chile)


Nevado Ojos del Salado (6893m) is the second highest peak in South America.  It is on the border between Chile and Argentina, and can be climbed from either side.  From the Chile side, the logical start point is the large Refugio Claudio Lucero, at 4527m.  From there it is about 27km with 2366m of elevation gain to the top.
